Presence of I.P.A. Lasithi Region at the National Conference of the Serbian Section as representative of the Hellenic National Section

The invitation of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic National Section of the International Police Association to the President of the Region of Lasithi ,Mr.Fragkakis Konstantinos and the President of Region of Laconia,Mr. Kouvousis Dimitrios ,to represent the Hellenic National Section at the Serbian’s Section National Conference ,which took place in the beautiful city of  Smederevo was a ‎ great honour and pleasure. Vice President of Lasithi Region Kazamias Ioannis also attended the conference.

The city of Smederevo‎ is located on the right bank of the Danube, about 45 km from the capital city of Belgrade. It was founded by Serbian prince Georgios Brankovic in the 15th century, who built the fortress of Smederevo in 1430 as a new Serbian capital.We visited the sightseeing in the city ‎ accompanied by our friends during our stay.

I.P.A. Serbia National section was fully integrated in 2007, with the votes of all the participating countries during the 34th Session of the International Executive Committee held in Balaton, Hungary, from 11 to 16 September 2017. Serbian National section chairman is Nebojsa Pantelic.

The first contacts of Serbian police officers with the International Police Association  go ‎back to 1999 when a delegation of Greek policemen from Cephalonia,Greece, members of the ‎International Police association, conducted a humanitarian campaign to help the families of ‎affected police officers from the bloody war.‎

It is worth to mention that although the National section is relatively new, the organization  and the defense of the idea of ​​Servo Per Amikeco by its members has nothing to jealous of any of the older National Departments.

Arriving at the airport in Serbia, a colleague was waiting for us dressed with official clothes of I.P.A. He drove us to the hotel with a vehicle that had been provided by the local Police for the needs of the conference. We met there our good friend and president of the Local Region who was responsible for the organisation of the conference, Perica Milovanovic with his wife Snezana Milovanovic,also member of the Local Region.

During the days of the conference we had the opportunity to strength our relations, also to exchange ideas for events for the benefit of our society and our members.

I.P.A. Lasithi Region would like to thank the Board of Directors of the Hellenic National Section which proposed us to represent our section, in this important Conference of the brother Serbian Section.

We also thank the Serbian Section for the incredible hospitality he offered us.
